JOIN THE MOVEMENT ABOUT MOVEMENT
Bike to Work Week is a fun way to try out bicycling for your commute! Nationally, it is celebrated in May but Buffalonians have requested June for the festivities due to our unique climate.
Why join the movement?
- HEALTH – Biking is a great way to get or stay in shape. Active commuting is great for mental health too!
- COMMUNITY – Be a part of something big! This is your chance to participate in a fun region-wide event.
- ENVIRONMENT – Biking reduces carbon emissions to improve our air quality!
- REDUCE TRAFFIC & PARKING CONCERNS – Bike to Work Week is the best introduction to bike commuting. Enjoy the bliss of commuting without traffic or parking fees. Biking also reduces traffic congestion and parking demand for others around your worksite.
- FOOD & COFFEE – Did we mention the FREE breakfast & other events all over town? Join in on an existing event or coordinate with your organization to host your own. Check out the GObike Buffalo Bike Month Calendar for a full list of events and see recommended bike commuter events below.
