About Us
GO Buffalo Niagara works with commuters, employers, and property owners to promote sustainable transportation choices. We provide free resources, tools, and rewards that help commuters in Erie and Niagara counties discover and switch to sustainable transportation such as walking, biking, public transit, carpooling, and other modes that don’t involve driving alone. Through business membership and à la carte services, GO Buffalo Niagara helps employers and property owners find the best strategies for encouraging their employees, tenants, and visitors to use sustainable transportation. GO Buffalo Niagara strives to help individuals and businesses save money, lead healthier and happier lives, reduce our collective impact on the environment, and facilitate the growth of our region’s communities with a focus on people, not cars.
GO Buffalo Niagara is a program of GObike Buffalo and is the Transportation Management Association (TMA) for Erie and Niagara counties. We are a close partner of the Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC), the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC, Inc.), the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA), and 511NY Rideshare (a program of the New York State Department of Transportation).

Being car-free for a year, I learned not only how to use bike and transit infrastructure, but also how to utilize my network of family, friends, and neighbors so I wouldn’t miss a beat. I’m happy to now be sharing these kinds of resources through the GO Buffalo Niagara program to help businesses, places, and individuals find creative transportation solutions. In a country built for cars, driving solo may be the easiest option, but certainly not the most interesting!

City-biker since 2012, but still learning tricks of the trade (rain pants, wow!). I study Biology and Education at Buffalo State and am interested in how learning happens outside of the classroom—particularly in climate science, safety, and sustainability. I’m so happy to work with GO Buffalo Niagara in supporting a transportation culture that’s smarter and safer for our communities.

After a 2019 New Year’s resolution to drive less, I discovered the convenience, savings, and joy of using public transit and a bike to get to and from work, errands, and outings. I’ve been known to preach the benefits of sustainable transportation options to friends, family, and the occasional stranger at parties, I now get to do it for a living.
